Abstract :
In this paper, the design of a robust control system using genetic algorithms for distillation column is presented. The controller ensure robust stability and robust performance of the closed-loop system and fulfillment of a mixture of time-domain and frequency-domain specifications. The simulation of the closed-loop system with the distillation column model shows very good performance for different reference signals as well as for different values of the uncertain parameters. Simulation results confirm that the proposed genetic algorithm based controller outperforms the classical controller.
