Abstract
During some decision making process, the weights of all criteria are uncertain and provided by the decision maker with linguistic preference information. Further, when ranking all the alternatives according to each criterion, the decision maker would also provide information with linguistic preferences. Hence, a decision making method must be found to deal with such situation effectively. This paper investigates such type of multi- criteria decision making in fuzzy environment. Based on G1 weighting approach, extended ordered weighted averaging (EOWA) operator and extended weighted arithmetic averaging (EWAA) operator, a method for multi-criteria decision making with linguistic preference information on criteria and alternatives is proposed. A numerical example is also provided to illustrate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed method.
