Abstract :
A design of UV-photosensitive highly dispersive photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is proposed in this paper, in order to be used in slow light experiments to generate large true time delays for microwave applications. A dispersion greater than 2000 ps/nm/km over 3.2 nm (up to 25000 ps/nm/km) has been achieved near 1550 nm. The feasibility of optical delay processing using designed PCF is analysed for optical beamforming function.
