Abstract :
A new type of filmforming materials based on complex fluorides of europium (II, III) and aluminium was developed. Presence of Eu(III) ions in the composition has been proved by diffuse reflectance method. High-temperature reduction of the composite is accompanied by a sharp change of diffuse reflectance spectra, and results in increasing value of effective magnetic moment per Eu-ion. The coatings obtained by the thermal vaporization showed rather high optical and operational characteristics. Mechanism of composition stabilisation was been established.
