Abstract
In this paper, the polarimetric performance of a Phased Array Radar antenna with a cylindrical (CPPAR) configuration is analyzed and compared with a planar one with the same beam width and secondary low level (SLL). The size of each array is obtained according to the requirements of the maximum allowed beam width in all scanned directions, the maximum SLL and the maximum integrated cross-polar isolation ratio (ICPR). Finally, the co- and cross-polar patterns for PPPAR and CPPAR are compared.
