Abstract :
We apply R/S analyses to determine the Hurst exponent for the natural electromagnetic radio signal in the extremely low frequency (ELF) band. The Hurst exponent is used for the classification of random and chaotic signals. We present the results of R/S analyses for the natural ELF radio noise and for quasi-random successions generated by a computer
