Abstract :
In the paper, a mathematical description of the measuring channel of incoherent scatter radar (ISR) is proposed. As an example of application of the model, the distortions of altitude profiles of the normalized correlation functions (NCF) of the scattering medium, electron density, electronic and ionic temperatures are calculated. The offered model can be applied to the development of measuring procedures for the ionospheric plasma parameters and estimation of their accuracy
