Abstract :
The paper presents an application of multi-agent systems to model the tutoring knowledge in an intelligent educational system. After describing a generic framework for ITSs in problem-solving domains, we introduce how the tutoring knowledge can be modelled as pedagogical agents. We then show how these agents are designed to interact with one another and with the student. Such a cooperative-agent-oriented model should help improve the student´s comprehension through more efficient pedagogical interactions, and maybe facilitate the implementation of the tutoring knowledge
