Abstract :
For the demand of the thematic maps´ specialization, knowledge-base and quick design and producing, thematic maps´ production platform, mode and technique are all changed more intelligent. As a hard core, the knowledge base is very important in decision support function. Based on different use, for different users´ arrangement and covering all different scales in thematic map´s intellectualized fast designing and producing, the article defines the conception of the knowledge and the knowledge base in thematic map design and producing anew, and describes the three kinds of knowledge´s function in different sections of design flow. The author brings forward the Hybrid representation which is fit for this domain´s knowledge, and expatiates on the frame and system of multiuse multiscale thematic map designing knowledge base detailedly.
