Abstract :
In this paper, we provide radio plan performance optimization of the high speed mobile networks that carry multimedia traffic. We showed that knowing the uplink coverage one can accurately balance the service area in downlink and uplink in the radio network. Also, it was shown that the choice of optimal antenna beam width and tilt is important for better performances. Thus, the interference may be controlled and the capacity and coverage may be balanced and improved. However, it was also shown that higher user data rates may lead to lower capacity of the system and higher instability of the available capacity. All results in this paper can be used in the radio optimization process of high speed mobile networks.
