Abstract :
We present a theoretical model of a single-mode two-wavelength multiport couplers built from two-wavelength two-port couplers according to the cascade scheme, with 1×N output ports, the distribution of optical power between the output ports being uniform. We provide the calculated ratios to establish relations between the final optical characteristics of the multiport couplers and these of its constituent parts, with the influence of the processing factors taken into account.
