Abstract :
Comprehensive 3D electromagnetic simulation of antenna structure for nHEB (normal-metal hot-electron bolometer) detector was conducted within 200-400 GHz frequency band. The simulation is based on Agilent HFSS software. The obtained results include S parameters and far field calculations, which could be used for evaluation of antenna optimal matching with both detector microstructure and incoming radiation. The Agilent HFSS software allows one to control convergence process, to calculate errors, and to improve accuracy if needed.
