Abstract :
To attain the maximum intercept efficiency, the amplitude distribution along the rectenna´s aperture should be significantly non-uniform. But the increase in the intercept efficiency results in a considerably large decrease in the rectification and collection efficiency. An effort to resolve the contradiction between the intercept efficiency and the decrease in the rectification and collection efficiency prompted an idea of designing a wireless power transmission (WPT) system with a uniform amplitude field distribution over the rectenna aperture. The aim of this work consists in checking the validity of this idea. Synthesis of the exciting field, ensuring the closest to the uniform amplitude distribution over the rectenna´s aperture, is performed.
