A pattern language for intelligent tutoring systems

This paper introduces PLAIT, a specific pattern language for architectures of intelligent tutoring systems. A pattern language is a structured collection of interrelated patterns in a specific domain. PLAIT is based on the idea of using patterns in the architectures of learning technology systems, as well as on a number of patterns that have been discovered in the existing architectures of intelligent tutoring systems.
