Abstract
Since the late 80s bulk current injection (BCI) techniques have gained wide acceptance in aerospace, commercial and military electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing. The BCI techniques provide a low cost and technically superior result to radiated techniques at low frequencies. There has always been conflict between adherents to radiated techniques and the newer BCI techniques. This investigation focuses on the degree to which BCI techniques accurately simulate the radiated mechanism of field-to-wire coupling
