Abstract
The paper discusses an instrument that the authors believe to be useful when studying the behaviour of learners using advanced learning technologies. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator reflects a person´s personality rather than just a preferred learning style and provides a useful tool for investigating how different learners develop learning strategies. The paper goes on to describe an experiment which shows the MBTI to be useful when investigating learner behaviours in an online learning scenario. The paper concludes by outlining issues that should be considered when adopting MBTI in this type of investigation
