Abstract :
This work presents the analysis of thermal properties of broad area GaAsP/AlGaAs lasers. The temperature distribution on the laser facet is studied both experimentally and theoretically. Phase sensitive thermoreflectance measurement is developed. The method is based on thermoreflectance, which is a modulation technique relaying on periodic facet temperature modulation induced by pulsed current supply of the laser.
