Abstract :
We have developed a variety of Ka-band passive components based on dielectric image guide line and investigated their coupling to different types of resonators. The effect of the resonator material was studied and various samples were fabricated using silicon and ferrite substrates. Semiconductor materials proved useful for developing tunable components such as power dividers, filters, attenuators and couplers. As a proof of concept, we carried out our experiments in the range of 26 to 35 GHz, but these concepts can be easily extended to sub-mm wave frequencies as well. Both simulated and measured results are presented here
