Abstract
In this work, a printed antenna for Wireless application is designed, which is working at 2.4/5 GHz for co-axial feeding and at 2.4/5.2 GHz for co-planer waveguide (CPW) feeding. The printed antenna uses the fractal geometry i.e. Sierpinski carpet to design the antenna. This paper discuss the design steps to achieve the desired resonance characteristics are discussed. The design is optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) using CST Microwave Studio 2008.
