Instant Messaging Application for the Internet of Things

This paper discusses the expansion and extension of Internet instant messaging technology. It expands communication among people to the communication and collaboration between persons and things, to the communication and collaboration among things in the Internet of things. Its purpose is to allow anyone, wherever he or she is, to be able to communicate with what he or she is interested in by mobile phone, PDA, or computer terminal equipment in the Internet of things. So does the communication and collaboration among things. Some key technologies have also been presented in this paper, which are helpful to build a strong and capable of handling large-scale Internet of things object application platform for instant messaging framework. Some applications such as smart home system have been developed based on the technology.
