Abstract :
We report integrated single-chip up- and downconverters for the 60-GHz frequency range. The size of the up- and downconverter chips is 3 mm times 1.5 mm. The 1-dB output compression point of the upconverter is from +1.0 to +5.5 dBm for an RF frequency from 57 to 63 GHz. The gain varies from 3.6 to 8.1 dB and the image rejection ratio is better than 12.7 dB. The downconverter exhibits a gain from 5.5 to 12 dB and an image rejection ratio from 10.6 to 18.7 dB for an RF frequency from 57 to 62 GHz
