Abstract
We propose a simple but efficient 2-D format conversion algorithm for an HDTV system, where various source formats are allowed, based on an interpolation scheme which is referred to as a sigmoid interpolation. Illustrations are included showing the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm through a computer simulation
