Abstract :
Coherently coupled VCSEL arrays emit complex optical field patterns. An interesting field distribution emerges when each laser in the array is emitting an optical field vortex. The optical vortices enable the coherent locking in configurations, which are impossible otherwise. We present the evolution of bi and multistable states of field distribution
