Abstract
With the proliferation of users employing wireless technology into their daily life, there is a need for more realistic mobility models so that network protocols can be accurately evaluated. In this paper, we propose the networked game mobility model (NGMM), based on random way point (RWP), for synthesising mobility patterns representative of a first-person-shooter networked game. Our results indicate that NGMM´s synthetic traces match closer to actual game traces as compared to RWP´s. Furthermore, with a multi-node simulation, we contrast the significant differences between the RWP and the NGMM in a MANET environment
