Abstract :
Power quality problems occur in unfiltered industrial power systems. One of the main problems is the effect of harmonics. In this paper initially a pilot industrial place was analyzed that has a low power factor. Then classical un-filtered reactive power compensation was applied practically and the effects on the system were analyzed. The proposed method was simulated with Matlab then the results were compared with the conventional methods practical outcomes.
