Abstract :
The paper shows the switching behaviour of a grid circuit breaker in case of short circuits close to generator terminals. For the simulation a new three-phase circuit breaker model has been developed in the network calculation program Power-Factory. PowerFactory is an appropriate software to simulate the switching behaviour of a circuit breaker.
