Abstract :
The time changing characteristics of a high Q resonator has made it difficult to compare the accuracy of Q evaluation methods proposed in many papers. A standard to compare the accuracy of Q evaluation methods based on adjacent data difference (ADD) analysis is proposed. The resonance curve area method is discussed as the reference for the proposed standard and it is proved that ADD analysis is an appropriate way to compare Q evaluation methods on the same basis. The data processing to reduce errors is also discussed from the point of view of maintaining the physical meaning of Q
