Abstract :
Local reaction is combined with diffusion for the synthesis of images of chaotic material structures. The spectral decomposition modes in images are compared with the ones computed from actual images. The relevance of the different modes are then discussed in the perspective of searching for an optimal representation of the structural inhomogeneities.
