Abstract :
In this paper, we propose time slot based bandwidth management in mobile wireless cellular networks along with time split method. Our analytical results have shown that higher priority handover call gets fixed duration time slot and will be maintained constant through out the connection life time. Lower priority handover call gets minimum duration time slot in heavy load conditions and will enjoy maximum duration time slot in under load conditions. Handover call, whether it is higher priority or lower priority one, will get minimum time slot in worst case scenario. With this method, dropping probability of handover calls could be reduced to minimum and maximum bandwidth will be utilized in the cell.
