Abstract :
The coloration and erasure properties of the F-center in cathodochromic sodalite as a function of various chemical substitutions are studied. Several chemical compositions of halogen (Br, Cl, I)- and Ge-doped sodalite:Br are grown by the hydrothermal growth technique. The absorption energy and the thermal activation energy of the electron in the F-center are measured as a function of the material lattice parameter a/sub 0/.<>
