Abstract :
The increasingly campus WLAN deployed in order to achieve a wide network coverage and convenient for users, the shared open medium and the varying channel conditions are challenges for network administrator. It is necessary to diagnose network performance faults. We present a flexible architecture for detecting and diagnosing faults in campus WLAN. Furthermore, we show that a novel mechanism called Access Module of Endpoint (AME) that allows disconnected wireless endpoints to convey information to network administrator. We utilize APs to monitor wireless medium and nearby devices, detect and diagnose network performance problems by this monitoring model, the novel architecture model enable disconnected endpoints to diagnose problems with the help of nearby endpoints by AME mechanism.
