Abstract :
This paper proposes a new calculation method for interarea-oscillation transient stability ATC (available transfer capability) using the dynamic single machine equivalent (D-SIME) method. ATC means the maximum transmission power that can be added to the existing power flow and its importance have been increasing along with the recent development of the deregulation of the power industry. This paper first explains the basic theory of single machine equivalent (SIME) and D-SIME method. Next, a new interarea-oscillation transient stability ATC calculation method is proposed, and simulations are carried out to verify the validity of the proposed scheme.
