Abstract

A highly integrated digital deflection controller for CTV receivers with standard or doubled line and vertical frequencies is presented. An on-chip main processing unit as well as high performance D/A and A/D converters provide an optimum solution for many deflection applications, even for HDTV and MUSE standards. Reduced vertical scan with or without partial overscan for 16/9 source signals on 4/3 screens and variable zoom modes for 4/3 source formats on 16/9 picture tubes are selectable
