Abstract
Ad-hoc wireless network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes forming a temporary network without any centralized administration. Here, each node operates not only as a host but also as a router. Mobile ad-hoc networking has been an active research area for several years. However, the different routing problems and the cooperation among selfish mobile nodes are not well addressed yet by the existing protocols. This paper proposes a new credit-based secure system for mobile ad-hoc network, where every node has a unique IP address. It also provides incentives for mobile nodes to cooperate on the network services. Moreover compared to previous approaches, this system does not require any tamper-poof hardware at any node to validate its authenticity.
