Abstract

Substation automation system based on IEC 61850 mainly is working its own performance throughout data communication among human machine interface as a client and a number of IEDs as servers. Both of them need verifying the conformance of IEC 61850 communication services because SAS can work under the strict assurance of their interoperability. UCA has already established conformance test procedures for IEC 61850 based server, otherwise, there is no test way for the client. So this paper presents the testing method of data transmission services such as client report function.
