Abstract :
A description is given of the development of an LSI circuit chip that finds use in a textile dyeing machine called JIGGER. Until now a semielectrical system was utilized to control the various operations in the process cycle. The various design steps involved and the use of novel design-for-testability features are also described. Possible future improvements in terms of additional features are discussed.<>
