Abstract :
For the problem of vehicle license plate detection in complex background image, a vehicle license plate detection method based on clustering analysis theory is propose. Based on FCM (Fuzzy C-Mean) clustering algorithm, For the features of vehicle license plate, FCM algorithm is improved to effective segment the image, then according to the features of license plate in image, using progressive scanning mode, find the horizontal edge probability density of each pixel can be obtained to detect the area of vehicle license plate. In terms of testing time and testing effect the method is achieved better results.
