Abstract
A 12 V, 5.7 W class-D single chip amplifier, based on a Σ-Δ modulator and a full-bridge output, has been integrated in a standard 5 V CMOS technology. Circuit techniques are used to cope with the voltage limitations of the devices. Stand-by power dissipation is reduced to 20 mW thanks to a new level-shifter cell.
