Abstract :
Concept, model, design and measurement results for a new compact waveguide resonator are presented. Using the resonator´s capability in synthesizing finite transmission zeros, stopband attenuation can be increased dramatically. Measurement result for an X-band filter of this type of resonator is presented which closely matches the design data.
