Abstract
VoIP (voice over IP) using session initiation protocol (SIP) is put to practical use along with Internet protocol (IP) technology improvement. Moreover, the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) in a next generation network (NGN) has been achieved using the SIP. The attempt to develop new services to make the application servers using cooperate with the functions of IMS. We propose a session-based Web linkage system that enables sharing Web applications between caller and callee of telephone communication based on IMS-managed session information. Using existing standardized network functions and APIs would make the system easy to apply in the IMS. Our prototype system on an open source IMS shows the feasibility and implementation issues of our proposed method in practical use.
