Abstract :
This paper provides a solution to the problem of adaptively controlling unknown type-1 linear systems for which the magnitude of the control input is not allowed to exceed some given values. The problem is dealt with using a specific pole placement indirect adaptive regulator. In addition to closed loop global stability, the regulator ensures the following performances in the case of constant reference sequences: 1) the control input stops saturating after a finite transient period; and 2) the output tracking error is asymptotically vanishing
