Abstract :
Efficient Bragg grating writing (>20 dB) in 10-ring highly nonlinear photonic crystal fibre using 193 nm radiation without hydrogen loading is demonstrated. Splicing to SMF-28 is done with care to avoid coupling to a higher-order triangular mode.
