Abstract :
Electric and hybrid electric vehicles need a power plant that includes DC-DC converters. While using these converters, their control plays an important role in the overall performance of the vehicle. Due to their several drawbacks including poor communications, analog control schemes are not suitable for the automotive industry, whereas digital control methods successfully meet the demands. Various types of digital control techniques for DC-DC converters are studied and classified in this paper. The drawbacks and advantages of each method are described.
