Abstract :
This paper provides a high-level overview of current applications of simulation in support of military training. Several examples are cited and described to give at least the ´flavor´ of simulation applications in military training. The following topics are addressed: factors influencing the use of simulation in military training; simulation technology and capabilities; small unit and crew level applications of simulation for training; larger unit level applications of simulation for training; and large-scale and joint applications of simulation for training
