Abstract
This work is devoted to the design of a sliding mode control scheme for a single phase AC/DC/AC converter in output AC signal tracking task, maintaining unity power factor. The control scheme is found to be robust with respect to parameter variations and external disturbances. The analysis of the sliding domain provides us with a converter parameters design procedure; which, in turn, can be used to minimize the DC link capacitors
