SCORM-based Courseware Design for the Personalization of E-Learning System
Abstract :
Learning is a highly varying process from person to person depending on the individual skills and abilities. As a result of this process, the learner\´s level of knowledge grows giving him more power to interact with a learning environment. To support personalized learning on the Web requires the coordinated efforts from both teaching and learning. We design courseware based on SCORM for individual learners in creation of personally learning experiences by the teacher and the learner on the learning. In this paper we present how to design a learning course content supports to define domain knowledge in SCORM compatible environment. An architectural framework of a courseware to facilitate personalized learning on the Web is presented. After that the "Java Programming" as an example for personalized learning based on SCORM are analyzed. At the final some conclusions are presented.
