Abstract :
The improvement of the cage induction motor´s efficiency is a significant scientific subject, since it affects the motor´s life-cycle and reliability. Particularly, the rotor slot number strongly affects the induction motor behavior because it is related to the magnetic field´s higher harmonic index. In this work, three induction motors with the same stator and different cage bars´ numbers, properly selected, are simulated with FEM. The aim is to study and compare the impact of their specific rotor slot number on the stator core losses.
