Abstract
In multicell wireless data networks, users should solve a two-dimensional optimization problem including transmit power and base station assignment to get better network service, which is hard to solve. In this paper, the strategy of dimension reduction is used to solve the optimization problem, where the base station is determined first and then the optimal power. In order to improve the fairness of utilization of the network, a novel pricing mechanism is introduced, where both the path gain and the signal-to-interference ratio are integrated together. Theoretical results give the condition for the existence of Nash Equilibrium solution. And simulations show that the introduced pricing mechanism not only leads to better performance comparing with traditional linear power pricing mechanism, but also improves the fairness of the payment on the two base station assignment.
