Abstract

High-level features especially free-form linear features contain more information comparing with point features, which are more useful to the latter disposal of image interpretation and surface reconstruction etc. An image matching method based on free-form linear features is proposed after the further research on description of free-form linear feature, selection of matching entity, and determination of similarity measure and such critical problems. The results of the experiment show that the method based on free-form linear features is feasible.
