Abstract
Due to the irreversible character of the ventricular fibrillation (VF) and the necessity of their fast treatment in order to guarantee the patient life, in the last decades there has been a significant increase in the development of defibrillators, both automatic and semiautomatic. The success of early defibrillation depends on quality and accuracy of the ECG interpretation algorithms used in defibrillators. In this work, is presented a system for VF detection based on three methods found in the literature, their validation with Creighton University ventricular tachyarrhythmia database (cudb) and MIT-BIH arrhythmia database, and the gotten outputs.
